Singing as a Dramatic Action is a workshop in which you will be guided to find and build a relationship with your own voice; to explore what you have to say and the stories you carry inside. It will be based on singing, sound and polyphony, on movement and group training. This workshop is aimed at performers. Everyone is welcome. The work will be rigorous, physical and aimed towards performance.
Process: You will explore how your voice is linked to your body, which in turn houses your biography. How does your body block certain flows of expression, and how does your voice reveal the stories you long to tell or that terrify you? Through it, you will discover a greater capacity to listen to others and to yourself; to hold space with strength and without tension; to find and connect with your imagination and allow songs to be not just songs but stories.
Technique: We will work both technically with resonators and with the geometry of the voice to support it, expand your register and how to imagine the internal space of the body to allow greater ease and fluidity of expression.
Shape: In addition to working imaginatively with a story and with ourselves for this, the songs used are specific songs that allow a dramatic space that the singer can fill.
